Program Areas
To deliver on mission goals of supporting pest control product registration for specialty crops, the IR-4 Project has three program areas:
- Food Use Program
Facilitates regulatory approval of sustainable pest management technology for food crops to promote public health and well being
- Environmental Horticulture Program
Helps growers of ornamental crops by expanding existing pest management product labels and pursuing new products for registration through efficacy and crop safety trials on both conventional chemistries and biological products
- Integrated Solutions Program
Encompasses research on conventional chemistries, biological products and other non-conventional pest management solutions for growers of both food and ornamental crops
